Lawyer Daisho Shenshan (played by Jun Matsumoto), who specializes in criminal cases, is passionate about investigating the hidden truths in cases that often go unnoticed. When his investigations hit a deadlock, he often prepares his favorite dishes while sorting through clues, using his keen observation and deductive skills to strike at the heart of the matter. One day, a highly esteemed president of the Banmoku Law Firm (played by Kazuhide Kishibe) extends an olive branch to Daisho, inviting him to join the newly established criminal office within the firm. Leading that office is the reputable Atsuhiro Sada (played by Teruya Kagawa), along with a wrestling-loving female lawyer, Ayano Tachibana (played by Nana Eikura). While Daisho's case handling style may frustrate the two, whenever he stubbornly clings to those minuscule key clues, these fiercely dedicated lawyers still give their all, even at the risk of injury. All of this is for the sake of uncovering the 0.1% of truth that is overshadowed by the 99.9% conviction rate...
