Coming out to family is a significant life event for LGBTQ individuals, requiring the support and acceptance of family and friends; for family members, when their child comes out, it is also a shock to their lives and needs to be faced with calmness. The pressure faced by LGBTQ individuals in China often comes from traditional culture (there are three types of unfilial conduct, and having no descendants is the greatest). According to incomplete statistics, 80% of LGBTQ individuals in China end up entering into legal marriages with the opposite sex. In contrast, LGBTQ individuals in foreign countries (Europe and America) face pressure mainly from religion; in the capitalist world, religious beliefs play an important role in people's lives, and most of these religions strongly oppose homosexuality. Some LGBTQ individuals, as members of these religions, constantly struggle between their sexual orientation and religious beliefs. What changes does coming out to their parents bring to their lives? This film follows and interviews them.
