The film opens with scenes of laborers working at a shipping dock. Charles is new there. He gets bullied and fights back. This catches the attention of the boss, Cai Xiong. The boss meets another big shot from a cinema called Huoba, but things do not go well. He sends his henchmen to chase that person. When Charles sees them about to beat up the other big shot, he steps in to defend him. Boss Cai Xiong meets Charles and offers him a place on his payroll.
