Adapted from the children's book by Lynne Reid Banks, this film tells the story of a nine-year-old boy named Ollie who receives a small wooden cabinet that his brother no longer wants, along with a small plastic Indian warrior toy gifted to him by his friend Patrick on his birthday. Ollie discovers that the toy warrior can move when placed inside the cabinet and is thrilled to learn that the warrior is actually a real person. However, Patrick secretly places a cowboy toy inside the cabinet as well, sparking a war between the cowboy and the Indian.
