The suspended detective Shan Yu is quite skilled at catching cheating spouses, so he decides to start a side business that specializes in infidelity detection services. Three days into his side job, he takes on a new case, only to find two corpses at an adulterous scene, with the only witness being the wife of one of the deceased—Xiu Zhen. Shan Yu suddenly finds himself in a dire situation, inexplicably becoming a murder suspect. In order to uncover the truth, clear his name, and catch the real culprit, Shan Yu struggles greatly, but the situation continues to deteriorate. On the other hand, he also develops a dangerously ambiguous relationship with the alluring and seductive Xiu Zhen, leading him deeper into a maze.
