Raj (played by Ranbir Kapoor) is an unknown singer who makes a living by performing in a small tavern every day. By chance, Raj meets a woman named Sadhina (played by Sonam Kapoor), whose beauty and mystery immediately capture Raj's attention, and he begins to passionately pursue her. Disappointingly for Raj, Sadhina's heart is already occupied by a man named Iman (played by Salman Khan), who despite going back on his former promises, remains in Sadhina's thoughts. As time passes, Raj even starts to doubt whether this Iman, whom he has never met, truly exists. However, what Raj did not anticipate is that just as Sadhina begins to forget Iman, this enigmatic man suddenly appears before them.
