Luo Yifeng is the Chief Investigation Officer of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). Under the orders of the Commissioner, he establishes a special task force to investigate embezzlement among senior executives of a certain bank related to a cryptocurrency market manipulation case. Luo Yifeng turns to Xu Xin, a software designer of a cryptocurrency exchange platform, for assistance, hoping to use high technology to gather evidence from the platform. As the investigation progresses, they discover discrepancies in the bank's finances, identifying the suspect as He Jintao, a senior executive of the bank. During this process, the individuals under investigation are attacked by a mysterious person, and at the same time, the bank's chairman is kidnapped. However, the kidnappers not only publicly uploaded the kidnapping footage online to attract public attention but also demanded that the ransom be paid with the cryptocurrency related to the market manipulation case. These coincidences further lead Luo Yifeng to believe that the mastermind behind the market manipulation case and the kidnappers are the same person, and the ICAC is determined to do everything in its power to bring the criminals to justice.
