Jarrod (played by Eric Balfour) and his wife Elaine (played by Scottie Thompson) attend a birthday party in Los Angeles for their friend Terry (played by Donald Faison). Terry has struck it rich in business and not only bought a luxurious penthouse in a skyscraper, but also has fully automatic appliances, and is surrounded by beautiful women. More importantly, he intends to bring Jarrod into the business. However, this idea meets strong opposition from Elaine, who is pregnant, leaving Jarrod feeling perplexed. That night, they discover a strong blue light glowing from outside their window. Someone is sucked into the light and dies, and Jarrod almost falls victim too, but narrowly escapes thanks to Terry's help. Following this, strong lights begin falling from the sky, and brave Terry and Jarrod witness an incredible sight on the rooftop. Jarrod even captures photos of several gigantic alien beings emitting blinding blue light landing on Earth, and their skyscraper becomes a target for the aliens, with their friends being sucked away one by one. Humanity faces a catastrophe...
