Ninefold Purple

The young Dou Zhao (played by Meng Ziyi), who lost her mother at a young age, has become utterly disillusioned with love and family due to family upheavals and a troubled fate. She fights against her stepmother to protect her family's assets, seeks refuge in a secluded rural estate, and studies diligently to ensure her own safety and empowerment. On a rainy night, Dou Zhao encounters Song Mo (played by Li Yunrui), who is disguised as a merchant, at the rural estate. Using her intelligence, she helps to protect the last heir of a noble family who made contributions in battle, intertwining their fates. Coming from an official's family, Song Mo is deeply involved in a family crisis, while Dou Zhao faces rumors of a marriage exchange due to her stepmother's schemes. They choose to marry to form an alliance and navigate through the crisis together. Initially distrustful of each other, they gradually get to know and cherish one another through mutual support. However, with impending storms and sudden changes in the royal court, Dou Zhao and Song Mo join forces to confront the crisis, collectively saving their family’s fate, uncovering the truth behind the noble family's alleged child swap, successfully preventing Prince Qing's rebellion, clearing loyal officials of wrongful accusations, and ensuring peace for their family and country, ultimately living a life of true happiness that belongs to them.
