 Synopsis
In "The Fast and the Furious 1", to escape from police pursuit, Dominic (played by Vin Diesel) leaves Los Angeles and goes into hiding in the Dominican Republic. A truckload of oil worth 1.4 million dollars brings Dominic back behind the wheel after years of hiding. At that moment, he receives the tragic news of his close friend Letty's (played by Michelle Rodriguez) death. Fueled by rage, Dominic returns to the U.S. alone to uncover the truth. It turns out that Letty was trying to gain a chance to get Dominic a pardon by assisting the police in capturing drug lord Campos (played by John Ortiz). However, out of instinct, Campos kills Letty to silence her after the drug transport. Now, there's Dominic seeking revenge for his girlfriend and experienced detective Brian (played by Paul Walker). The two join forces once again, targeting drug lord Braga. Thus begins a rapid quest for revenge... "Fast & Furious 4" retains Chinese-American director Justin Lin from the third film, Tokyo Drift, skipping the third film's plot and directly continuing from the second film, making it a true sequel.
