 Synopsis
In the future world, with the rapid advancement of technology, pollution on Earth is becoming increasingly severe. To curb this situation, a company called Lunar Energy Industries Limited was established. This company is dedicated to the development of lunar energy, aiming to meet Earth's energy needs through the collection of helium-3. The Lunar Energy Company has a base on the moon, where Sam Bell (played by Sam Rockwell) is the only worker. Sam is a contract employee hired by the company, and he has been living alone on the moon for three years, accompanied only by the intelligent robot GERTY (voiced by Kevin Spacey). The monotonous lifestyle makes Sam eager to return to Earth, and just two weeks before his departure from the moon, he accidentally encounters an accident. When he wakes up, he discovers that GERTY seems to be hiding something from him, and the company's higher-ups refuse his request to return. Seizing the opportunity to escape the base, Sam discovers another version of himself at the accident site...
