Lan Xin (played by Jiang Xin) is a university student who serves as a village official. With a beautiful vision of building a new countryside, she marries the honest rural youth Wu Jiayi (played by Cheng Haofeng) and officially begins her life rooted in the rural soil. Wu Jiayi's aunt, Wu Xuemai (played by Huang Xiaojuan), is the village committee director. With her help, Lan Xin's career flourishes and her future looks bright.
