Kathy (played by Harriet Dyer) has the special ability to communicate with the dead, a skill that seems very cool to outsiders but torments her deeply. Tom (Paul Blackthorne) is Kathy's old friend and also an officer with the LAPD in Los Angeles. One day, Tom, along with his new partner Cindy (Jacey Vasquez), seeks Kathy's help, hoping that her powers can assist them in solving a complex case involving religion. Although Kathy is reluctant to use her seemingly cursed ability, her involvement is indeed the last hope to resolve the case. While investigating, Kathy discovers that she may find a way to return to being a 'normal person' once and for all.
