The Great Army of Heaven

The story takes place in the distant Western Han dynasty during the reign of Emperor Yuan. The territory of the Han had already been expanded deep into the Western Regions under the continuous military campaigns of his great-grandfather, Emperor Wu. At this time, the protector of the Western Regions, Huo An (played by Jackie Chan), did not regard himself as a superior power of the Celestial Empire. He interacted with various countries in the Western Regions in a friendly and equal manner, treating them with respect and uniquely resolving conflicts between different ethnic groups, achieving a state of peace that could not be attained solely through military might. Unexpectedly, Huo An was framed and exiled to the Yanmen Pass to repair the city. At this time, he encountered a young prince fleeing from the distant Roman Empire and his guard, Lucius (played by John Cusack). After an initial misunderstanding, Huo An and Lucius turned their enmity into friendship.
