This season's story begins with the wedding of Robin (played by Cobie Smulders) and Barney (played by Neil Patrick Harris). The timeline goes back to the summer of 2012, a season filled with love. Barney and his girlfriend Quinn, Ted (played by Josh Radnor) and his girlfriend Victoria, Robin and her boyfriend Nick, as well as Marshall (played by Jason Segel), Lily (played by Alyson Hannigan), and their son, all seem very happy. The couple, Marshall and Lily, are busy taking care of their child, while the other three couples enjoy their blissful relationship.
