The Snow is Burning 2007

Show Lo (played by Kou Zhenhai) is the head of a state-owned enterprise, with two daughters under his care. The elder daughter, Luo Rou (played by Chen Zihan), is domineering and does not allow anyone to have their way. The younger daughter, Luo Yi (played by Lu Yi), was adopted and has been deaf since childhood, so Show Lo and his wife are especially caring towards her. Luo Rou feels that the love that should belong to her is being shared with Luo Yi, and even when her sister is in love with Wen Jie (played by Jia Nailiang), she complicates their relationship. She believes that Wen Jie should belong to her and forces Luo Yi to marry the scheming Xu Shilin (played by Zhao Yi). Due to internal strife within the company, the Luo family falls into decline, and their mother and father pass away one after the other, leaving the sisters in a low point in their emotions and lives. At this moment, the appearance of their aunt (played by Zhu Lin) reveals the unknown background of Luo Yi; it turns out that she is actually Luo Yi's birth mother. Upon learning the truth, Luo Rou becomes ruthless in her efforts to steal the family's assets and casts another web of conspiracy towards her sister...
