Liz is a cookbook author, crafting expert, and television personality whose name symbolizes perfection. As she considers retirement, her daughter Candice (played by Swittin) is set to become the new face of the Livingstone brand. The only problem is that Candice can't cook, sew, or perform her mother's signature skills. A young girl uploads a video online, asking Liz for help to welcome her father home for Christmas after he has been sent away. Candice is sent to take her place, striving to prove herself as a worthy successor to the board and earn the job. Just as Candice is doing her best to make a good impression, the girl's uncle John happens to be a reporter for the local newspaper, looking for his next story.
