The popular internet horror comic writer Jiang Zhiyun (played by Lee Si-young) is releasing new works that are receiving rave reviews. However, in her life, she seems to be increasingly unable to distinguish between reality and illusion; she not only frequently experiences extremely realistic horror nightmares but also finds inexplicable wounds on her body. One night, Jiang's editor, Xu Meizhen, commits self-harm in a brutally cruel manner, and the process of her death and the horrific scene are eerily similar to the content of Jiang's new work that she had just sent her. Shortly thereafter, another murder occurs at a funeral home that bears resemblance to the comic's content. Detective Qi Zhe (played by Yoon Ki-joon) from the Bongdong Police Station and his junior Kim Yong-soo (played by Kim Hyun-woo) get involved in the investigation, gradually tracking down Jiang's little-known background.
