On November 2, 1975, the body of renowned Italian director Pier Paolo Pasolini was found on the outskirts of Rome at Ostia beach, having clearly suffered a violent attack before his death. Just prior, he had completed his film "Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom," which is often ranked among the top ten banned films in the world.
