In the late Shang Dynasty, while patrolling the ancient forbidden area of the immortal realm, Jiang Ziya, a disciple of Kunlun Mountain, accidentally knocked over a millennia-old seal, releasing the traitor from the celestial realm, Wan Hua Hong Ni. Wan Hua Hong Ni stole the soul of the ancient god of slaughter, Chi You. To prevent Chi You's resurrection, Jiang Ziya descended Kunlun Mountain and encountered the fox demon, Da Ji. The two worked together to seal Chi You, but the battle resulted in Da Ji's death. She was reincarnated as Su Hu's daughter—Su Da Ji. Due to Da Ji's death, Jiang Ziya felt sorrowful and requested to descend the mountain for training.
