119 Marriage Contract

The film "119 Marriage Agreement" is directed by emerging domestic director Wen Feiyang. It is based on the real-life figure of Du Hang, an instructor at the Chengde City Public Security Fire Brigade in the Summer Resort. The story follows the romance between a grassroots fire officer named Du Xing (played by Lan Feiyang) and a girl from the post-80s generation, Yu Xiao (played by Qi Zimei), showcasing the choices firefighters must make between their responsibilities to the community and their family, as well as the larger love versus personal love. It also presents the hardships and dedication of an ordinary military wife. During the film's preparation, the creative team learned about the true story of Du Hang, which closely resembled that of the male protagonist. After several discussions, and with his consent, the team made slight modifications to the script based on Du Hang's experiences and changed the protagonist's name to Du Xing, aiming to reflect the true lives of firefighters through the representative stories of typical characters. This approach is intended to help the public gain a better understanding of, empathize with, and support firefighters.
