Synopsis

Widow Jiang Caiping married widower Kong Deming as a stepmother with her daughter Ma Xiaoping. Ming's sister Shuzhen was displeased and instigated Ming's sons Yongchang and Zhaochang to oppose Caiping and her daughter. Ming left home for Nanyang to work, gone for ten years, during which time the children grew up. In this period, Caiping treated Yong and Zhao like her own children; she not only saved Yong's life with a blood transfusion but also managed to bring back Zhao, who had gone down the wrong path.
