 Synopsis
Andoniti was born in Jamaica, her father passed away early, and she relied on her mother and her intellectually disabled brother. Later, due to her mother's inability to support the family, she remarried a wealthy gentleman from England. During a slave revolt at home, her brother unfortunately lost his life, and her mother went mad from the shock. The stepfather arranged for someone to take care of them and then returned to England, never to return. Later, in order to inherit her stepfather's estate in Jamaica, Andoniti agreed to the marriage her stepfather had chosen for her before his death. However, due to the shadow of her family's upheaval, Andoniti was deeply afraid of being abandoned by her husband and kept many secrets about her background; additionally, due to the gossip and ridicule from outsiders, the couple gradually developed misunderstandings. Consequently, Andoniti tried desperately to win back her husband's heart, but unfortunately, she personally witnessed her husband's affair with a black maid, and the blow hit her like a mountain crashing down.
