 Synopsis
The tourist destination of Kijitsu Onsen Town welcomes travelers from all over the country all year round. Laughter and joy fill the skies of Kijitsu, with men and women indulging in singing and dancing without a hint of fatigue. Fumaru (played by Yoko Mihara), Kanako (played by Yukie Kagawa), Chiyo (played by Masumi Tachibana), and Tamae (played by Eimi Hida) are dedicated to entertaining every guest, often leading to amusing situations. Meanwhile, they frequently clash with the rival geisha house led by Kintaro (played by Yuko Minamikaze) and her companions, with the girls' battles never ceasing. However, beneath the glamorous exterior lies an indescribable sadness. Chiyo is in love with the handsome Dr. Yoshioka (played by Teruo Yoshida), but their feelings are mismatched; Fumaru has a familiar benefactor who tragically dies beside her; the pregnant Yukiko's (played by Miyuki Takakura) boyfriend Aburou (played by Michirou Minami) is a lazy scoundrel who would abandon their child for money. Amidst the laughter and song, each girl carries her own burdens of sorrow...
