The producer of the TV station, Ah Nan (played by Eric Tsang), has always felt frustrated despite his immense talent. His inability to socialize has led him to only work on niche time slot shows. One day, he unexpectedly encounters a washed-up singer, Ah Ken (played by Louis Koo), in a public setting and notices that Ah Ken is desperate to get on stage and perform. Seeing Ah Ken's eccentric behavior, Ah Nan suddenly has an idea and discovers a path that could lead to success for both of them. He proposes to Ah Ken to become his exclusive agent and help him repackage himself, ensuring that he will make a comeback. Ah Nan's plan is to have Kenny act crazy to attract media attention, and in order to get back on stage, Ah Ken agrees.
As expected, Kenny's erratic behavior draws a lot of media coverage and he quickly becomes popular. At this point, in order to get Kenny on the show, the TV station has no choice but to meet Ah Nan's demands and move him to a prime time slot, allowing him to showcase his talents. Just when the partnership is thriving, a difficult decision confronts Ah Nan.
