 Synopsis
The new comedy channel series 'Moonlight City' depicts the handsome but foolish detective Dazzle Novak (Rob Lowe) trying to rid the streets of crime with the help of female officer Chrysalis Tate (Kate Mara), but he is perpetually unlucky—especially when he encounters his arch-nemesis Rad Cunningham (Will Forte). Dazzle's excessive idealism leads him to commit more crimes than most criminals. Worse yet, his rival Rad is always there to exploit his weaknesses, threatening to take him down at any moment. Dazzle has a sexy but exceedingly domineering boss, Pizzaz Miller (Elizabeth Banks). Fortunately, there is at least one competent police officer in the city, and that is Chrysalis. This animated series blends many characteristics of 1980s crime dramas: absurdism, realism, violence, and 'unrestrained sexuality.' The first episode has already been released online in advance.
