The flood caused by the heavy rain turned the town into a vast ocean, and the police in the town were sternly urging everyone to evacuate to safety. Soon, their armored vehicle got stuck in a collapsed section of the desolate road, prompting them to signal for help from the National Guard. However, their signal was intercepted by Jim (played by Morgan Freeman) and three others who were already prepared. Jim and his group violently robbed them, leading to Charlie's death, while Tom managed to escape alone, with Jim in hot pursuit. During his flight, Tom unexpectedly met a woman named Karen, who stayed in town to protect the church art, giving him an opportunity to call the police. After the police detained Tom, they searched for the cash he had hidden at a grave site. When the floodwaters surged and scattered the police, Tom, with Karen's help, gained his freedom. Just as Tom and his group were preparing to escape the town, they were unfortunately intercepted by Jim, leading to more chaos with the arrival of the police adding another layer of complexity to the situation.
