The Nationalist Army's anti-Japanese soldier Xiao Jie (played by Jet Li) finally ushers in the victory of the War of Resistance after a bloody struggle, but the honor of a hero belongs to the American soldiers. Xiao Jie rushes to Qingdao to join his life-saving benefactor, Brother Zhang (played by Zhao Erkang), who has just kicked his daughter Xiao Rui (played by Song Jia), who works as a hostess, out of the house. Xiao Jie and Brother Zhang make a living by pulling rickshaws. The American soldiers in China act arrogantly, injuring pedestrians. Xiao Jie confronts American officer Hans, leading the crowd to set fire to American military vehicles. In a chaotic bar, Xiao Jie responds to the American challenge and steps into the boxing ring to defeat his opponent. Brother Zhang cannot bear the harassment of his daughter by the American soldiers but gets severely beaten in return. To raise money for Brother Zhang's medical treatment, Xiao Jie falls into the trap set by the American soldiers and becomes a human target in the boxing ring. Hans takes the opportunity to challenge Xiao Jie again. After a brawl, Brother Zhang and his daughter Xiao Rui reunite, yet the Americans' revenge has not ceased...
