The unscrupulous real estate developer father and son Xu Dafu (played by Shen Teng) and Xu Tianyu (played by Yue Yunpeng) are determined to fight for the ownership of a dilapidated residential building called ‘Mengguifang’ in a luxurious CBD, but there are four quirky tenants inside who refuse to leave: the miraculous doctor Wang Baojian (played by Zhang Yi) and his son Jiding (played by Li Yihang), the couple of folk inventors Li Juhua (played by Papi) and Jin San (played by Pan Binlong), internet celebrity broadcaster A Ping (played by Jiao Junyan), and washed-up gangster A Ren (played by Fang Zhongxin) and A Ming (played by Wu Zhenyu). One dark and windy night, strange occurrences begin to happen one after another, with zombies, ghouls, a vampire baron, and a ghost in a red dress arriving in succession. The frightened 'remaining quirky tenants' invite long-known 'Universal Master' Ling Jie (played by Ng Man-tat) to help them overcome the crisis, only to find that Ling Jie brings even greater trouble...
