This Little Thing Called First Love

The middle school student, Xiao Shui, has an average appearance and comes from a modest family, so she is not very noticed at school. However, she is kind-hearted and has a group of close friends, making her life quite happy. One day, she meets the handsome senior, A Liang (played by Mario Maurer), and her heart begins to flutter uncontrollably. She enjoys watching him play soccer and take photos, looking at him like a lovestruck fool. During English class, she continually passes notes to her best friends expressing her admiration for A Liang. However, the English teacher points out that she is useless at anything except English. When she gets home, her uncle brings news from America about her father, saying that if she can achieve first place in the entire school, she can go to America. Thus, she resolves to work hard. One day, while Xiao Shui and her friends are buying drinks, they encounter some basketball players who rudely cut in line. A Liang steps forward to teach them a lesson and is subsequently scolded by the principal. Xiao Shui also learns for the first time that A Liang's father retired after missing a penalty shot, understanding the hidden pain in his heart. As the dance team is reserved for the pretty girls, Xiao Shui and her friends plan to showcase their talents in the drama club, only to find that A Liang has also joined the club. The two end up playing a prince and princess; will their romance begin here?
