Synopsis

Wei Tong (played by Zhao Wenxuan) is a successful gay man who lives happily with his boyfriend Simon (played by Mitchell Lichtenstein) in the United States. Their troubles arise from having to deal with the constant pressure of marriage from his parents (played by Lang Hsiung and Kuei Ya-Lin) who are far away in Taipei. Wei Tong is forced to write a letter to present himself as a 'good boy,' claiming he will marry in America, only for his parents to want to witness it in person. Helpless, he enlists the help of Wei Wei (played by Jin Su Mei), an unsuccessful female artist from Shanghai, in a 'fake marriage' to avoid the situation. His parents are quite satisfied with Wei Wei, but they are unhappy with Wei Tong's hasty attitude. To please them and quickly return to Taipei, Wei Tong exerts all his efforts like a 'desperate man.' However, plans don't always work out as the return date for his parents keeps getting postponed, causing a 'red light' in his relationship with Simon, and unexpectedly, Wei Wei becomes pregnant with his child. It seems that in the face of powerful parents (tradition), Wei Tong can only choose to be a 'superficially normal' man.
