Members of the CCP underground anti-Japanese armed organization, Luo Sheng (played by Li Hongwei) and Ying Ge (played by Chen Qianyan), are assigned by their superiors to disguise themselves as street performers and arrive in Jiu Cai Gang Zi Town. They must meet with the underground courier, Yue Lan (played by Gong Yuefei), who is hiding here, at an agreed time to obtain the defense map of the Japanese and puppet troops stationed in Jiu Cai Gang Zi Town, in preparation for the major counteroffensive. Upon arriving, they unexpectedly rescue a civilian being chased by the Japanese, Da Zi Hua (played by Hu Yang). The three of them work together to evade the Japanese, eventually successfully meeting with Yue Lan. At this moment, the Japanese officer Fujino discovers Luo Sheng and Ying Ge’s true identities as members of the CCP anti-Japanese armed forces, and gathers troops to surround them. Luo Sheng, Ying Ge, Yue Lan, and Da Zi Hua form a temporary anti-Japanese group and ultimately manage to eliminate Fujino, but in the process, Luo Sheng, Yue Lan, and Da Zi Hua sacrifice their precious lives. Their names are engraved in the heroic history of the Chinese nation’s resistance against Japanese invasion. The surviving Ying Ge does not forget her mission and departs alone with the defense map to meet the main group, embarking on her new journey.
