This drama is adapted from the sixth book of the original 'Cormoran Strike' series, 'The Ink Black Heart'. When the disheveled and frantic Edie Ledwell appears in the office, begging to talk to her, private detective Robin Ellacott doesn't know how to respond. Edie is the co-creator of the popular comic 'The Ink Black Heart', and she is being harassed by a mysterious online figure known as Anomie. Edie is desperate to uncover Anomie's true identity. Robin believes the agency can't help with this and doesn’t give it much thought. Until a few days later, she reads a shocking news story: Edie has been electrocuted and killed at Highgate Cemetery, the setting of 'The Ink Black Heart'. Robin and her business partner Cormoran Strike thus begin to investigate Anomie's true identity. However, faced with a complex web of online aliases, commercial interests, and family conflicts, Strike and Robin find themselves caught in a case that pushes them to their limits.
