Thirteen years ago, the reputable merchant Shen Yan was rumored to have a family treasure of 24 jars. Outlaws, driven by greed, slaughtered the Shen family village in one night. Sun Cai, a tailor who owed Shen Yan his life during a year of famine, buried the bodies of the whole village. Thirteen years later, in order to pay for his son’s release from prison, Sun Cai sets his sights on the 24 jars of treasure. He deliberately organizes a scheme and gathers a group of unscrupulous characters including a greedy rich businessman, a leading performer from a theater troupe, a con artist, and a vagrant. Together, they form an underworld gang. As they search for the treasure, they encounter a series of bizarre events. However, this expedition is actually a trap set by tailor Sun Cai; all five individuals were participants in the bloody incident thirteen years ago. What roles did they play in that massacre? What hidden truths lie behind the outlaws’ raid on the village?
