In a remote forest rarely visited by humans, four young people drifting down the river in a boat are attacked by a deformed cannibal hunter, who uses arrows and traps to kill them almost completely, leaving only a girl named Alice (played by Janet Montgomery) to escape by chance. Almost simultaneously, at the Grafton Prison in West Virginia, guard Nitt (played by Tom Frederic) and his partner receive a task: to transfer the Mexican inmate Chavez (played by Tamer Hassan) and others to another prison. To prevent Chavez's accomplices from hijacking the transport, the prison arranges for an undercover officer to disguise as an inmate and accompany Chavez. However, an accident occurs when the prison transport is driven off a cliff by the cannibal. The prisoners seize the guns and turn the tables, and since Nitt is familiar with the terrain, he takes on the role of guide. The surviving Alice appears before the mixed group of prisoners and guards, bringing news of the cannibal. In the dark, locked forest, a crazy and long night has just begun...
