"Seventh Code" tells the story of Akiyama Akiko (played by Atsuko Maeda) who, unable to forget Matsunaga (played by Ryohei Suzuki), a man she met in Tokyo over a meal, travels to Vladivostok, Russia. Although Matsunaga has no recollection of Akiko when they reunite, he warns her not to trust anyone easily while abroad before disappearing. While searching for Matsunaga, Akiko is attacked by the mafia and left in tatters in a desolate area on the outskirts. This suspense drama was filmed on location in Vladivostok, Russia, in June 2013. In the film, Atsuko Maeda also challenges herself with fight scenes. Directed and written by Kiyoshi Kurosawa, "Seventh Code" is set to compete in the main competition section at the "8th Rome International Film Festival" opening on November 8 in Italy, with a global premiere slated for the 14th. The film features an original story written with Atsuko Maeda in mind as the star.
