"Under the Stars: The Black Tide Island" is the first flagship drama of Hakka Television to obtain resource cooperation from multiple ministries (Ministry of Culture, Tainan City Government Cultural Bureau). Its story is based on "Mr. Green Island," an original screenplay by Overjoy Technology Co., Ltd., depicting the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950, where the horns of confrontation sounded between the democratic and communist camps. Amidst the bizarre and tumultuous international situation, in Taiwan, one percent of the top elites gathered on Fire Island with the tide of the times.
