In a far future, the surface has been polluted to the point of being uninhabitable, and humanity begins to develop the underground, creating artificial life forms to work for them. Unexpectedly, the artificial life forms rebel against humanity and take control of the underground world. Due to severe pollution and infections from a new type of virus, the already dwindling human population is further reduced by nearly 30%. At this point, humans acquire immortality through genetic modification, yet they also face the dilemma of losing their ability to reproduce.
