In the near future, Earth has become desolate and dangerous. A mysterious creature has taken over the planet, forcing humanity to seek refuge in the Sky Ark, an aerial artificial city. As the population grows, space becomes increasingly scarce. Only the rich and the powerful can remain in the Sky Ark, while the poor and orphans are exiled to Earth. Among them is a boy named Lagos, the son of a deposed former commander, who is determined to save his orphaned companions and the exiles. To return to the Sky Ark and bring peace back to the world, he and his friends must traverse the ruins of Old Earth, constantly battling hordes of alien monsters.
