Midway, Utah is competing with two other cities to host Sterling Masters' holiday adventure shoot. Kellie Pickler plays Alia, the leader of Midway, whose family owns The Mistletoe Diner, and she is striving to attract attention to promote the local vacation and entertainment industry. However, Sterling Masters is merely the face of the production; his good friend Alex is the screenwriter and key figure. Alex arrives early at The Mistletoe Diner to gather intel. He clashes with Alia, who openly expresses her admiration for Masters, while Alex's sarcastic remarks about Masters' questionable talents aggravate him. The show is adapted from the bestselling novel of the same name by New York Times bestselling author Richard Paul Evans.
