Due to her husband Keichi Asuda (played by Hiroki Hasegawa) engaging in an extramarital affair with an office lady from the same company and filing for divorce, full-time housewife Kazuko (played by Yuko Oshima) throws herself into the river, leaving behind four children. The sudden death of the mother leaves the eldest daughter Kei (played by Shiori Kutsuna), eldest son Sho (played by Taishi Nakagawa), second son Kaito (played by Morito Ayabe), and youngest daughter Kii (played by Moyu Honda) in disarray, causing chaos in the home. To take care of the children's daily needs, Keichi hires a housekeeper, Akari Mita (played by Nanako Matsushima), through an agency. She is a woman without a smile, akin to an emotionless robot, who can remember the names of all AKB48 members, can prepare a variety of signature dishes, and knows almost everything. She is completely obedient to her master's commands, even complying with orders such as murder. Mita's arrival brings about significant changes to the struggling Asuda family.
