The drama is adapted from a webtoon of the same name, telling the story of Shin Yun-bok (played by Kim Myung-soo), a disciple raised under Confucian ideals and hailing from Seongshan Village, and Kim Hong-do (played by Lee Yu-young), a modern female teacher who only knows how to take the initiative, in a formal defensive romantic comedy. Kim Myung-soo plays Shin Yun-bok, who comes from a family with a long line of high-status in Korea, carrying heavy responsibilities; he is extremely strict with himself and is a noble scholar who does not treat anyone lightly. Lee Yu-young plays Kim Hong-do, a woman striving in the fiercely competitive design industry, often overlooked for having nothing and no background, yet she does not give up on her dream of becoming a designer.
