Life and death, parting and reunion, beauty can be short-lived. After bidding farewell to her estranged sister, Yuan Zhihua (played by Zhou Xun) sets off on her return journey with her husband and her sister's son, Chenchen, feeling a sense of melancholy. Before leaving, she receives an invitation letter from her niece Mumu (played by Deng Enxi), inviting her to her sister Yuan Zhinan's middle school reunion. In the midst of this gathering of long-lost friends, as everyone considers her to be Zhinan, Zhihua finds it difficult to openly speak about her sister's passing. She chooses to leave first, but on her way, she unexpectedly reunites with an old acquaintance of the sisters, Yin Chuan (played by Qin Hao). Following this, Zhihua writes to Yin Chuan in her sister's name, reminiscing about their youthful days. Meanwhile, back at home, Mumu and Zhihua's daughter, Saran (played by Zhang Zifeng), receive a letter from Yin Chuan. Out of curiosity about their mother’s past, they respond with their innocent handwriting. In this noisy and hurried electronic age, three places separate two generations as they try to reframe their lost years and lives...
