The conservatively inclined Uncle Quan lived a lonely retirement life by himself, his only hope was that his beloved daughter Mei Rong would return home after her studies and settle down in Cameron Highlands. However, his daughter brought back her foreign son-in-law Benjamin. Benjamin's frivolous appearance made Uncle Quan very disdainful of him, and he strongly opposed entrusting his daughter's lifelong happiness to him, but could not shake his daughter's resolve. Uncle Quan had no choice but to offer one condition: the couple must hold a traditional Chinese wedding, and the son-in-law Benjamin must accompany Uncle Quan to personally deliver the wedding invitations. Director Qing Yuan, following his successful warm comedies 'The Big Day' and 'Wonderful Days,' has established a personal style and become a pillar of the Malaysian Chinese film industry. The new film 'With You Along The Way' is set to premiere in Malaysian theaters during the Lunar New Year of 2014, with the first screening taking place in Taoyuan.
