Before the premiere of ABC's new summer drama 'Combat Hospital' (originally titled 'The Hot Zone'), ABC released a preview clip over a minute long. The story begins with Major Rebecca Gordon and Captain Bobby Trang arriving at the front lines of the conflict in southern Afghanistan. Played by Michelle Borth, Rebecca is a top trauma surgeon who is eager to prove herself in the combat hospital, but she realizes that many things in the real battlefield are not mentioned in books and manuals. Bobby Trang, portrayed by Terry Chen, is immediately sent to the front lines upon arrival, becoming the leader of the trauma team. The commander of the Canadian forces' combat hospital is Colonel Xavier Marks, played by Elias Koteas. The only non-military medical staff at the hospital is the outstanding British neurosurgeon Simon Hill, played by Luke Meier, while Colonel Will Royal, portrayed by Arnold Pinnock, serves as the head nurse.
