The play tells a fairy-tale-like story of healing and love between a psychiatric nurse who refuses love due to the heavy burdens of life and a fairy tale writer who does not understand love due to intrinsic flaws. Kim Soo-hyun will play the role of the psychiatric nurse, Won Kang-tae, who lost his parents at a young age and has been taking care of his autistic brother, living a life of sacrifice and dedication. He has no grand dreams and does not hope for his life to get better, but only wishes to eat well and sleep soundly with his brother on his meager nurse's salary, enduring each day. Seo Ye-ji is confirmed to star as the popular children's author, Go Mun-young, who has antisocial personality traits. Due to her childhood loneliness, she exhibits extreme selfishness as she grows up, being arrogant, rude, and reckless in her words and actions.
