Wen Tongying (played by Song Hye-kyo) was born into a poor family. During high school, she unfortunately became the target of bullying by a group formed by Park Hyun-jin (played by Lim Ji-yeon) and Jeon Jae-won (played by Park Sung-hoon). Park Hyun-jin treated Wen Tongying brutally, using a curling iron to burn her skin. Desperate, Wen Tongying contemplated suicide, but in the end, she abandoned that thought, dropped out of school, and started working in a factory. The only reason that supported her to continue living was her desire for revenge against those who had bullied her. Years passed quickly, and through her own hard work, Wen Tongying successfully entered the school where Park Hyun-jin's daughter attended, becoming her homeroom teacher. Thus began Wen Tongying's revenge plan; she wanted to take revenge on everyone who had stepped on her, whether they were the mastermind or an accomplice.
