This film is one of the representative works of director Sun Chung, written by Ni Kuang, and stars Derek Yee, Wong Yiu, Ku Feng, and Zhao Yashi. The story describes how Wang Yang (Derek Yee), a martial arts instructor in Hedong Prefecture, is framed by the local gentry Meng Erda (Ku Feng) and becomes a suspect in a murder case. He then hides in Meng's household to teach. Later, Wang takes a promising young martial artist, Zhou Ping (Wong Yiu), as his disciple, which angers Meng. It turns out that the Zhou and Meng families are sworn enemies. Meng thought hiring Wang as a teacher was a way to foster trouble, and he incited the notorious bandit 'One Whip' to launch an ambush against Wang. Fortunately, Wang escapes a great disaster, although he is injured. A girl named Jia Jia (Zhao Yashi), who is living in the Meng household, disapproves of what the Meng family is doing and has a fondness for Wang, thus secretly offering her help...
