In Melbourne, Australia, Chinese chef Jacky (played by Jackie Chan) is a well-known figure, regularly hosting cooking shows on television. The drug lord Kim Carlo (played by Richard Norton) has a powerful group, and Kim Carlo himself is brutal and cold-hearted. After eliminating the undercover agents of rival gangs, he leads his followers into a fierce gunfight in a warehouse, which is fully documented by journalist Diana (played by Gabrielle Fitzpatrick) with her camera. While evading the drug cartel's pursuit, Diana unexpectedly encounters Jacky, who gallantly helps distract the assailants for her. However, when they part ways, Diana mistakenly takes Jacky's videotape of his cooking show as evidence. Soon, the drug cartel finds Diana's residence; after searching in vain, the assailants begin to target Jacky instead. Jacky's girlfriend, Mei Qi (played by Li Ting Yi), visits from afar and attends the recording of Jacky's show. The drug cartel surrounds Jacky at the recording site, and after a fierce street battle, Jacky finally escapes. Meanwhile, the rival gang of Kim Carlo captures Mei Qi, threatening Jacky to exchange the tape for her. In a moment, a chaotic struggle over the videotape ensues between Jacky, the police, and the two criminal groups.
