Yihan (played by Jian Mingshu) is a simple, kind, and very ordinary girl from Taiwan. Online, she meets a Japanese boy named Maki (played by Nakano Yuta). At first, Yihan hopes that communicating with Maki will help her practice her Japanese. However, as time goes by, the two who chat almost every day seem to spark feelings of love. Before she knows it, Yihan has completed her university studies, and after graduation, she decides to travel to Japan to meet the real Maki, rather than just the illusion hidden behind online data. Before she leaves, her mother repeatedly reminds her to stick to her principles and not to marry a Japanese man, but when Yihan sees Maki for the first time, she is already certain that he is her destined soulmate. Thus, the romance between Yihan and Maki begins amidst numerous obstacles.
